Seawork-1 completes maiden work over campaign in Gabon

The Seawork-1 jackup rig has completed its first work over campaign for Perenco in Gabon and is now being prepared for towing to the DRC.

Following an intensive pre-drilling phase, the unit coordinated by subsidiary well intervention team successfully completed the full scope of the work programme as set out in 2008 by a multidisciplinary team in both Gabon and Paris.

A total of fourteen wells were worked over, with 13 converted from Gas Lift or Progressing Cavity Pump (PCP) activation to Electric Submersible Pump (ESP) activation on both platforms (BREME, ZULU) and monopods (ORINDI, OMPOYI, TURNIX).  Completions installed range from a simple ESP with no packer, to ESP with Y-tool and shallow set packer, all the way up to dual ESP / Gas Lift activation with deep set packer.

Following the programme, all wells are now active and current net production rose by 4,500 bopd.
